About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Service Operations, the Service Engineer lead is responsible for the technical coordination and execution performance of assigned service orders within the Sub-Region and for providing global field services technical expertise.

This technical role is an essential member of the Service Execution team and has a positive impact on the regional results and the overall success of the business. This role provides technical responsibility over service orders including quotation (support); on- and off-site coordination; define resource, tools and material requirements; reporting and customer contacts.

This roles also implies leading the existing pool of service engineers, developing their skills, being the 1st point of escalation for technical issues to support Customers, Field Service Engineers, and Technicians.

About your responsibilities at SPX Flow:

Ensure successful execution of the following Service activities that take place:

  • Drive a culture of Service Excellence, which results in a first-class customer experience and positive customer satisfaction scores.
  • Develop (potentially delivering trainings for example) and support the existing team of service engineers
  • Lead the execution of Service orders from the sales team hand-over up to the final acceptance from customers
  • Own technical problems met by customers, service technicians/engineers and provide them with continuous support until resolution, including on field when required.
  • Partner with the other Services and Systems Execution functions for resolutions, risks management and technology. For example: Installation & Commissioning, automation, engineering, quality etc.
  • Management of the risks and opportunities, quality control and procedures associated with service execution.
  • Coordination and supervision of internal and external service execution resources
  • Work closely with the Service Coordinator team to ensure seamless execution leading to customer’s invoicing.
  • Partner with Service Coordinators for deliveries and lead times of service items.
  • Partner with Warranty Service Manager for quality issues. Monitoring open warranties/claims up to their closure
  • Committing to EHS rules to ensure that all Service execution activities are completed in a safe manner and to SPX Flow or customer specific standards.
  • To support the service technicians/engineers and share the knowledge/skills with them.
  • Potential support to customer’s training
  • Lead the service engineers team to own the assigned service orders in terms of:

o Define the execution plan

o Define the needed resources, tools and materials.

o Align the technical scope with the customer

o Coordinate the service intervention on site or off-site

o Ensure best in class service reporting according SPX Flow standards.

o Cost control of their assistances and follow up together with Service Manager

o Perform mechanical and hydraulic maintenance operations on SPX and non-SPX equipment.

o Assistance to customer to restart the installation/equipments after being serviced.

o Submitting the Intervention Sheet to the Service Coordinator.

  • Support on the Accounts Receivables to the Service Manager

About you:

  • Technical bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in a service-related field is required
  • 5-10 years related experience in leading a technical team in the N&H industry
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in French and English
  • Be computer efficient (Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP experience).
  • Driving license.
  • Leadership skills: leading by example
  • Strong analytical skills – able to assist in identifying and providing solutions to customer issues or service execution problems.
  • Attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to collaborate with others through appropriate influencing and negotiation skills
  • Good understanding of the SPX Flow equipment and processes or skillset to learn it.
  • Exhibits the ability to handle complexity, multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy.
  • Ability to collaborate with others, solution oriented
