Quanex is looking for a Tool & Die Maker to join our team located in Zanesville, OH.

As the Tool & Die Maker, you will perform various duties to design, build, repair and maintain various dies, fixtures, and tooling, as well as fabricate and/or modify parts used in production.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Design and fabricate dies used in manufacturing.
  • Evaluate damaged dies and mold and carry out repairs.
  • Assist Engineering in designing and fabrication of special parts for prototype products.
  • Design, fabricate and repair fixtures used to position parts and components during manufacture.
  • Repair factory machinery and/or assist the maintenance team, as necessary.
  • Maintain inventory of tool room and requisition needed stock or materials.

Your Credentials:

  • Equivalent to a completed accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft, or occupation; or equivalent to a 2-year technical college education.
  • A minimum of five to seven years of related work experience with tool making and repairs
  • Knowledge of metal and plastic manufacturing and/or products preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO Standards is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $32/hr to $36/hr w/ bonus potential.
