Entry-Level Sample Processing Tech - 1st Shift

We are immediately hiring for an Entry-Level Sample Processing Technician! This role will actually be helping to prepare lubricant/oil samples within a laboratory environment and an ideal candidates will have experience in a warehouse shipping environment, or an Associates Degree in a science.

Job Description

The Sample Technician is responsible for the intake, logging, preparation, and processing of samples, as well as maintaining the laboratory shipping area. This role ensures accurate sample management and efficient laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

  • Scan reports and log samples by typing in and matching product codes in the sample management systems.
  • Unbox samples, place them onto trays, and deliver them to the laboratory.
  • Measure and weigh samples.
  • Mix and batch samples.
  • Operate basic laboratory equipment to initiate tests.
  • Perform basic wet chemistry tasks.
  • Fill test tubes, place them on a hot tray, and de-gas samples
  • Maintain laboratory shipping area

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with sample preparation in a non-healthcare environment or shipping is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
