PURPOSE

Assists Outside Sales team in selling building products and services to business and industrial establishments or individuals at sales office, store, showroom, or customer's place of business by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enters orders and quotes for outside sales staff.
• Quotes windows, entry doors, interior millwork, siding and decking for outside sales staff.
• Utilized Builders FirstSource Digital Tools including Paradigm Estimate on a daily basis.
• Reviews quotes for accuracy and completeness.
• Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
• Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
• Tracks stock levels.
• Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
• Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• One year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related selling experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior building materials industry experience preferred.
