The candidate will work on systems development for the back-office general insurance administration system. He / She should have high capability to work individually and collaborate with other application teams.
In additional, the candidate will assist the supervisor to manage the project scope and timeline to provide deliverables up to quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the supervisor to execute strategic plan following the management direction
- Assist the supervisor to monitor and maintain system stability and provide solution to address the stability problem
- Align with DevOps and Agile delivery approach, tooling, and practices adoption to provide system enhancements
- Refactoring and continuous improvements of the code and processes
- Contributing to the ongoing support of the apps and ecosystem
- Capable to work individually and collaborate with distributed teams
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
- 8+ years of IT system development & support experience, with at least 3 years of experience in supervisor / team lead role
- Experience in Agile principles and processes methods with tools and process, e.g. Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Experience in using CI/CD tooling including Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, etc.
- Knowledge on general insurance processing is an advantage
- Knowledge on any of the following programming languages: Java EE, JavaScript, .Net, C#, NodeJS on Typescript, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs
- Knowledge on any of database related technologies, e.g. Oracle DB, Informix, DB2, MongoDB, Redis, MySql, CosmoDB, and Hibernate
- Knowledge on using public cloud services, e.g. Azure, etc.
- Knowledge on containerization/orchestration, e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
- Knowledge on DevSecOps scanning tools, e.g. Fortify, Nexus, SonarQube BurpSuite, etc.
- Strong team-player who has good communication skills, multi-tasking and time management
- Strong sense of responsibility with good analysis and problem-solving skills
- Excellent command of English and Chinese (written and spoken)
