Key Accountabilities

  • Collect water samples and prepare them for shipment
  • Locate and mark out water distribution system facilities as requested by JULIE and others.
  • Operates, install and maintain water distribution facilities, including but not limited to services, fire hydrants, meters, and remote meter reading equipment.
  • Perform the duties of a Pipefitter or Service Person as required.
  • Operate and maintain the water treatment plants, and otherwise assume the duties of an Operator as required.
  • Have a personality which allows the employee to fully cooperate, communicate with and assist employees. Possess the ability to be courteous in contacts with customers.
  • Have the ability and knowledge to observe irregularities of improperly operating equipment and take appropriate action.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Exhibits a positive, helpful attitude and behaves respectfully and courteously to all customers and associates.
  • Requires mathematical development sufficient to add, subtract, multiple and divide all units of measure.
  • Work in a confined space and be able to lift items weighing over 50 pounds.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Knowledge and experience working with computers and mechanical tools and equipment necessary.
  • Be able to write legibly and record information accurately.

Knowledge/Skills Cont'd

  • Follows established safety guidelines and procedures, including Company Safety Code, Code of Conduct, and OSHA regulations.
  • Must attend all safety training sessions.
  • Understands and adheres to Material Safety Data Sheet information.
  • It is understood that the above classification constitutes the associate’s principle type of work, notwithstanding the fact that he/she may be required to perform other duties.
  • Must be available for after-hours and other emergencies.

Work Hours

Monday through Friday 11:00AM to 7:30PM with Saturday and Sunday off.
