MANUAL MACHINIST

We have a fantastic full-time career opportunity for a qualified Manual Machinist to work in

Aston, PA. An excellent compensation and benefits package is available for a qualified

JOB SUMMARY:

The Manual Machinist is responsible for the operation of large industrial machines while making

various pump parts to precise specifications. You will use knowledge of metal properties,

setups, layouts, and precision machining procedures to develop and maintain these parts. The

successful candidate will be familiar with machining equipment such as a manual lathe machine.

Job Responsibilities and Qualifications:

? Performing layouts, setting up and operating conventional machine tools such as ID /

OD Grinders, Turret Lathes, Engine Lathes, a Horizontal Boring Mill, a Vertical Boring

Mill, a Radial Drill, and a Planer Mill.

? Reading and understanding drawings, including geometric dimensioning and

tolerancing

? Must be able to hold very close tolerances (+/- 0.001”).

? Can inspect parts using all micrometers for checking diameters, lengths and depths,

and grooves, slots, and drill dimensions

? Experienced in machining pump components such as cases, impellers, wear-rings,

bearing housings, and shafts.

? Follows instructions from a traveler/router and machining procedures to perform the

machining process.

? Attention to detail with a results-driven background

? Excellent communication skills

? Willing to work overtime as required

? Journeyman machinist or 5-10 years of experience / or comparable experience

within the aftermarket pump or rotating equipment industry preferred.

? High school diploma or equivalent

? Must be able to pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing
