Director, Architecture – mainframe
The Role
The Director, Architecture – will work hand in hand with business leadership and our engineering partners to evolve our SPS mainframe (FBSI) capabilities. You will be hands on working to understand the mainframe MIPs/CPU usage, business capabilities, coming up with integrated architectures supporting our SPS distributed channels working with our WI and brokerage partners. You will work closely with business sponsors, project managers, engineers and architects designing, implementing, testing, and deploying end to end technology solutions and moving applications out of the mainframe.
As a leader within the architecture team, you will work with architecture and application teams to help champion innovation, drive standardization, and deliver modern technology patterns across the stack for our customers' use. You will contribute to the product roadmap evolution in conjunction with business unit product goals and provide leadership in computing services, adoption of platforms and consolidation across our team's initiatives.

As an Architect within Fidelity Investments Workplace Investing (WI), you are responsible for establishing the strategic direction, setting standards and choosing technologies across WI. You will work closely with business partners and technology teams to understand business objectives and help define appropriate architecture direction for them. By working closely with Solution Architects and Agile teams, you will assess and ensure how proposed solutions to specific initiatives align with broader WI goals and strategies.
