The Role

As a member of Workplace Investments (WI) Security Architecture you will be hands on supporting the WI Customer Protection team in the development of new tools and features that protect our customer information. You are deeply committed to improving the value delivered to our customers by collaborating with other leaders to establish and progress standards, influencing strategic decisions and building high quality software solutions. You collaborate with product teams and architects throughout the entire product development lifecycle—from inception to delivery—to provide mentorship, security guidance, and robust solutions. You are intellectually curious and are committed to developing your own expertise and empowering others by bringing the latest thinking to your role.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 10+ years of industry experience in crafting/architecting distributed systems and applications.
  • Proven experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA): data ingestion, rule language (Rego) and policy management.
  • Significant hands-on experience in application solution architecture, technical design, and programming. Familiar with common software design patterns, methodologies, and processes.
  • Experience building resilient applications in a highly distributed scalable operational environment.
  • Technical knowledge and experience within information security in areas such as: cloud security, containerization, operating system and database security, security logging and monitoring systems, vulnerability assessment tools, encryption, access, authentication, and software development.
  • Experience with IAM and protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, SAML, RBAC, ABAC, PBAC and familiarity with industry security regulations/standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Adept at communicating technical solutions, risks, and business value to peers and leadership in written, spoken, and presentation form.
  • Using your deep understanding of the developer experience to provide strong leadership advising strategy for multiple development teams and coordinating work to deliver excellent results.
  • Ability to playing a key role in resolving technical roadblocks involving multiple technologies and using well-reasoned proposals to influence and resolve complex business problems.
  • Security Certifications a plus.

The Team

WI Security Architecture operates within Fidelity Enterprise Architecture and are tasked with laying a solid foundation for Workplace Investments to secure customer and associate interactions and data. We support the WI Customer Protection Center of Excellence and teams within WI and across Fidelity to collaboratively shape the security architecture for customer identity, authentication, authorization, fraud mitigation, cloud security and data privacy.
