We are looking for a full-time Clinical Assistant in our Winston Salem office. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 8a-5p.
The Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing and coordinating orthopedic patient care which includes performing routine office procedures and testing, participating in patient teaching, communicating effectively with others, and partnering with the physician/mid-level provider in the delivery of patient care.

A Typical Day:
A typical day for the clinical assistant involves collaborating with and providing clinical and administrative support to the healthcare practitioner to ensure the delivery of high quality, compassionate patient care. The clinical assistant greets patients as they escort them to the exam room. They obtain and document past medical/surgical histories, vitals, patient medications and allergies in the EHR system (EPIC). This role assists the practitioner with patient examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures, in addition to cleaning and sterilizing rooms and equipment after each encounter. Some day-to-day tasks include suture/staple removal, assisting with casting/bracing, and assisting with injections. A pivotal job function for our clinical assistants is to educate patients through booklets/instruction sheets prior to minor procedures in accordance with physician instruction. This position will also orchestrate administrative duties which may include ordering supplies, stocking rooms, responding to patient messages, prescription refill requests, filing documents, and monitoring work queues in the EHR system.
