$19.24 - $34.32 hourly
Direct Care up to $10.00/week
Additional Hourly Differentials:
$1.20 - 2nd shift
$1.50 - 3rd shift
$2.00 - weekends
The New Hampshire Veterans Home has full-time, 2nd & 3rd shift vacancies for Licensed Nursing Assistants I-III / LMNAs.
Proposed Schedules Include:
2nd shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm (8-hour shifts only)
3rd shift: 11:00pm - 7:00am (8-hour shifts only)

Summary:
LNA I
To provide quality direct care services for geriatric and/or psychiatrically impaired residents, including providing assistance in activities of living and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
LNA II
Provide continuous direct care services to the residents of the NH Veterans Home. Performs paraprofessional work associated with the tasks of daily living including assisting in providing motivation, recreation and learning activities.
LNA III
Supervise and provide direct care services for assigned long-term geriatric residents, including performing para-professional work such as counseling with residents and acting as liaison between NHVH and community.
YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS
Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
Minimum Qualifications:
LNA I
Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency credential.
Experience: No experience required.
License/Certification: Must possess and maintain a current license for Nursing Assistant as approved by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing. Must possess a valid driver's license if responsible to transport residents to appointments.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Ability to maintain a rehabilitative attitude and relationship with residents. Ability to relate to residents and co-workers in a positive and empathic fashion. Ability to respond to supervision and work cooperatively with others in the discharge of care and treatment responsibilities. Ability to perform routine manual tasks and primary resident care services. Ability to participate as part of a larger treatment effort aimed at re-socializing and rehabilitating institutionalized residents. Ability and willingness to participate in in-service training program to develop skills and knowledge leading to enhanced effectiveness. Ability to read and write to meet documentation requirements. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority.
LNA II
Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency credential.
Experience: Two years of experience as a Licensed Nursing Assistant.
License/Certification: Must possess and maintain a current license for Nursing Assistant as approved by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing. Must possess a valid driver's license if responsible to transport residents to appointments. One additional step is provided for Medication Nursing Assistant Certification. Employee certification is reviewed and renewed biennially, in accordance with Board of Nursing certification requirements.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: For promotion from Licensed Nursing Assistant I, pay band 2, to Licensed Nursing Assistant II, pay band 3, employees must:
Meet the minimum qualification requirements of the Licensed Nursing Assistant II;
PREFERRED WORK TRAITS:
LNA III
Education: Associate's degree from recognized college or technical school with major study in the social sciences or human services; OR a high school diploma plus 18 credit hours in the field of social services or human services.
Experience: Two years of experience as a Licensed Nursing Assistant. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
License/Certification: Must possess and maintain a current license for Nursing Assistant as approved by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing. Valid driver's license required if responsible to transport residents to appointments. One additional step is provided for Medication Nursing Assistant Certification. Employee certification is reviewed and renewed biennially, in accordance with Board of Nursing certification requirements.
