Job Description

The position of Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for ongoing maintenance, fabrication, installation, and creation of equipment and facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform industrial maintenance on conveyors, dust collectors, solenoids, motors, bearings, gears, and various industrial machinery.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is functioning optimally.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues efficiently.
  • Fabricate, install, and maintain equipment and facility components as required.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience or knowledge of electrical meters.
  • Knowledge of CMMS or similar software.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • PLC knowledge.
  • Experience in diesel maintenance and farm hand tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $40.00/hr.
