Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders
- Provide proactive and responsive customer service by addressing client inquiries, claims issues, and benefit-related concerns
- Stay up to date on industry trends, compliance regulations, and market developments
- Assist with open enrollment processes, student communications, and benefits education
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve client experience
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in the agency management system
- Attend client and student meetings, including presenting in both small and large group settings
- Seize opportunities for account rounding and cross-selling
- Prepare professional client documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in employee benefits account management or insurance brokerage
- Active Life & Health Insurance license (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of benefits plans
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and agency management software
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
