In this role, you will work closely with development teams to improve build and release pipelines, automate deployments, and maintain the stability of production systems. You will also help drive strategic improvements, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to our overall DevOps culture.

  • Ensure build pipelines are functional by resolving fundamental build issues promptly (e.g., preventing prolonged "red" status).
  • Design and implement Build and Release process improvements, reducing technical debt and enhancing automation.
  • Ensure end-to-end deployments run smoothly, and AWS resources are provisioned in an automated and reliable manner.
  • Monitor Production Environments and take action to maintain system stability and performance.
  • Support product teams in migrating to modern architectures, including containers, microservices, and serverless technologies.
  • Assist developers with server troubleshooting and application errors caused by environmental issues.
  • Design and implement new automation tools to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Contribute to defining and refining DevOps strategic improvements.
  • Provide third-level support to business users when required.
  • Work on new and existing applications, infrastructure enhancements, and web-based services.
  • Mentor Junior DevOps Engineers, helping them develop technical and operational skills.
  • Share knowledge and insights in DevOps forums, promoting best practices across teams.
  • Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science or other relevant field and demonstrable related experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure roles.
  • Strong AWS experience, including services such as IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, and networking.
  • CI/CD pipeline management, including tools like Octopus and Bamboo.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with CloudFormation (Terraform experience also beneficial).
  • Containerization proficiency, with hands-on experience in Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, New Relic, Splunk).
  • Scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience troubleshooting server and application issues in cloud-based environments.
  • Understanding of security best practices in cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Fargate, etc.).
  • Experience deploying and maintaining database technologies, including Amazon RDS, Aurora, and SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with Octopus Deploy or similar deployment automation tools.
  • Background in highly regulated industries such as finance or insurance.
