Responsibilities

&bull Design, develop, improve and maintain M&S models and simulations in support of the ITASE distributed simulation architecture.

&bull Develop, implement, and maintain M&S models and simulations, including procedures and work instructions.

&bull Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to sustain and improve the software development environment.

&bull Coordinate with simulation architecture, model, and tool developers to ensure quality in delivered products.

&bull Performing the role of M&S Software Engineer across multiple acquisition efforts, to include: design, development, integration, test, deployment.

&bull Experience with modern commercial software development practices and tools such at: AGILE, Kanban, Git, Artifactory, Cucumber, Atlassian, Jenkins, etc.

&bull Experience with Linux OS, such as: RedHat (RHEL), CentOS, etc.

&bull Familiarity with Joint Simulation Environment and other modeling and Sim frameworks (AFSIM, etc.)

&bull Knowledge with container frameworks and orchestration, such as: Kubernetes, K8s, Docker, Singularity, OCI, etc.

&bull Efficient with hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.

&bull Familiarity with digital engineering best practices, to include use of model-based system engineering approaches.

&bull Assisting in the development of RFP packages and other technical documentation for competition and acquisition of new systems.

&bull High-level familiarity with open system design concepts and open architectures.

&bull Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

&bull 6-8+ years of experience in software engineering or a closely related field.

&bull Candidates should have demonstrated skill sets in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python

&bull Strong oral and written communication skills.

&bull Self-starting, charge-the-hill mentality to deliver mission capability at the speed of need.

Education:

&bull A bachelor&rsquos degree in engineering, physics, math, or computer science.

Clearance Requirements:

&bull Must possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI. SAP experience highly desired.
