Job Purpose-Digital Product Manager is transaction banking subject matter expert and is responsible for the adoption & commercialization of new digital products & initiatives on Corporate & SME Banking space. To develop an digital acquisition strategy for SMEs optimizing product value & profitability.

Key Accountabilities

  • Delivery Management:Execute product plans to ensure timely & quality delivery. Catalogue the asks from business units, liaise with group and local tech to have the solution worked upon, prioritise and perform user story grooming, perform UAT-PAT-LV testing of the requirement and provide sign-off. Responsible for e2e channels delivery in a timely manner.
  • Product Innovation & Customer Experience:To increase customer adoption, stickiness, provide on-ground insights-analysis on adoption, conduct customer journey, competitor analysis, identifying and sharing best practices. Provide insights for new build or change in business-operational plan.
  • Project Management:Expertise, handling of Delivery channels across Online Banking, API, Host to Host, ERP Integrations, UPI including Technical knowhow, and expertise of mandates on Cash and Trade product as upsell for customers acquired under Digital initiatives. Usage of project management techniques, for tracking-planning and implementing new products-services
  • Support Growth & Be Aligned with Department Goals:Establish profile of the Bank as leading digital solution provider for Corporate Customers in India. In addition, the role could envisage taking on special projects to support the Cash management- SME business.

Job Duties & responsibilities

  • To work in close co-ordination with the business stakeholders, Local and Group technology teams, Ops and Risk teams & RMs in the respective region. Quick to market approach to delivery using 1st-time-right approach.
  • Be a Product & channel - Subject Matter Expert: Digital Channels, Cash, Trade, Supply Chain, Industry Solutions. Representative for GTS (Cash, Trade, Supply Chain) and engagement with businesses.
  • Commercialise all Product: This includes training to all relevant stakeholders as well as sales or usage campaigns to increase usage/sales packs, success stories, case studies to drive product usage. Also, to support sales in complex sales pitches & also drive Paper-2-Electonic migration.
  • To track revenue generation - benefit realisation, target penetration with customers and compare with the Product Plan - Objectives. Generation and dissemination of all relevant MIS to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement customer centric services-products by understanding market dynamics, customer segmentation & mapping competition matrix. Continuously analyze and update competition matrix.
  • Responsible for looking both internally and externally to understand customer and business needs & opportunities that can be addressed through online transaction banking solutions.
  • Continuously interact with other product groups so as to offer cross-sale opportunities to existing base.
  • Enable and support Online Banking delivery across spectrum of Products across - Cash (Payments, Collections, and Liquidity), Trade Finance-SCF-ARP, FX and others

Experience

  • Good understanding of the product management process through prior cash management experience of 4-6 years and overall experience of 8-10 years.
  • Market knowledge and experience of Cash & Trade Management business, with reference to customer preferences and requirement would be preferable
  • Should have experience in managing channels-platforms, Corporate Online Banking Product & Implementation.

Education - Preferred Qualifications

An MBA or Chartered Accountant or equivalent degree is preferable, with 8-10 years with banking-product knowledge & 4-6 years specifically in cash management.

Core Competencies

  • Good understanding of the Project management process, especially digital channels like API, Host to Host and Netbanking.
  • Sound technical knowledge of cash management business
  • Good problem solving-analytical, planning & organising skills. Planning, scheduling and monitoring deliverables, within a stipulated time frame using effective methods
  • Good team management skills - working with multiple stakeholders
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.

Technical Competencies

  • In-depth understanding of cash management products and associated technology platforms and operational procedures
  • Experience of working on online banking platforms, host to host integration, working with vendors and technology providers as well as understanding industry dynamics
  • Understanding of regulatory guidelines on banking issued by MAS and by RBI (local regulations in India) and local laws and regulations that impact businesses in general.
  • Has an understanding of leading ERP’s in Large corporate & SME and know how on integration with Bank systems.

Work Relationship

  • Possess good working relationship and a high degree of team spirit and cooperation with relationship group as well as service partners in the bank such as Product Mgt, Operations, Finance, Legal etc, so as to ensure seamless delivery of products to clients
  • Establish rapport with our clients so as to win their business, confidence Possess good working relationship and a high degree of team spirit and cooperation with service partners in the bank such as Technology, Operations, GTS - Singapore etc. as well as relationship groups, viz., SME, Large Corporates so as to ensure seamless delivery of products to our clients and business growth and smooth functioning of the branch as a whole.
