Plans material and expedites product/projects/material where routines/guides have been established.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Good attendance

  • Performs all necessary planning functions
  • Interfaces with the purchasing department to expedite the high priority orders through the logistical operations (producing purchase orders, work orders, and packing slips
  • Interfaces with management to resolve any procedural problems
  • Obtains quotes, product and pricing information
  • Produces purchase orders, expedite orders, cancel or modify orders
  • Maintains stock items to assure accurate material for production
  • Prepares paperwork to return items (i.e. Performa invoices, customs duty drawback applications, freight forwarding)
  • Matches P.O. and requisitions
  • Enters inventory items into the computer
  • Produces custom reports, via the computer, to use for more detailed analysis
  • Initiates purchase orders for specific commodities
  • Expedites stock items and assists other department personnel
  • Maintains vendor base for purchased items and updates written and computerized records and files for efficient operation, as necessary
  • Maintains written and computerized files for efficient operation
  • Covers reception area with phone coverage.
  • Maintains a satisfactory understanding Inventory Control Systems, Sales Order Systems, Purchasing Systems and RMA Systems.
  • Committed to the protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers and neighbors. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Perform administrative Production Planning duties.
  • Purchase and maintain Office supplies
  • Maintain breakroom supplies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Performs all operations according to prescribed safety principles.
  • Ability to work with and preserve confidential information.
  • Acts as Company representative at other company locations, or at other companies.
  • Follows the procedures as presented in the Employee Handbook, Etiquette Brochure, department procedures, captures contact information, and follows verbal, written or diagram instructions as provided by supervisors and managers.
  • Presents a professional appearance as well as presents a professional attitude with customers, distributors, vendors and other company personnel.
  • Ability to drive with valid driver’s license for valid Company reasons. Occasionally.
  • Presents professional communication skills – verbal, written, e-mails.
  • Ability to perform receptionist duties when required.

Your profile

  • Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma (or equivalent), preferred
  • Two-year degree in Industrial Technology or related field, a plus
  • Three years’ experience in production scheduling or related field, a plus
  • SAP experience, a plus
  • Proficient personal computer skills; familiar with Microsoft Office a plus.
  • Passing a company post-employment physical as well as controlled substance testing and background and security checks, as required.
