Job Summary:
The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of outdoor grounds and landscaping. This includes mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, planting flowers, removing debris, and performing routine maintenance on groundskeeping equipment. The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about lawn care and outdoor maintenance.
$12.00/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, and other landscaping features.
- Mow, edge, trim, and water lawns and plantings.
- Rake leaves, remove trash and debris, and keep outdoor areas clean and orderly.
- Prune trees and bushes to maintain appearance and health.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides as needed.
- Install seasonal plants and assist with landscaping projects.
- Maintain and repair outdoor fixtures such as fences, benches, and irrigation systems.
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping tools and equipment (e.g., lawnmowers, leaf blowers, trimmers).
- Clear walkways and outdoor areas of snow or ice in winter months (if applicable).
- Report any damage, hazards, or maintenance needs to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or a related field is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of lawn care, gardening tools, and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
