Our team is part of a fast-paced, multi-faceted engineering organization that is designing and developing cutting-edge technology to enable Oracle's hybrid cloud solutions. Our customers run their businesses on our appliances and our mission is to provide them with unified turnkey solutions that enable rapid and secure cloud deployments into Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

We are seeking development leaders to help shape the next generations products. Highly qualified candidates will be knowledgeable with DevOps, Kubernetes, micro services, Oracle Cloud (OCI) and system design. Specific knowledge of virtualization, networking, storage, high availability, and automation are highly desired. An ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems. You will be developing and evaluating cutting-edge cloud infrastructure technologies.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 10+ years of software engineering or related experience.

Career Level - M3

Responsibilities:

• Ownership in a distributed cloud scale service.
• Provide leadership, direction and strategy for an engineering team.
• Manage and deliver on a large portfolio of key OCI initiatives with a special emphasis on service enhancements and DevOps.
• Develop a prioritized roadmap of products, features and engineering deliverables.
• Work closely with a variety of stakeholders (other OCI teams, Oracle Corp teams, product management) to ensure cross-organizational dependencies are managed effectively
• Provide regular updates to executive management
• Monitor the health of the Logging services in the OCI fleet and drive solutions to problems before they impact Cloud capacity and availability
• Hiring and establishing a team in the desired regions.
• Coaching, mentoring and developing top talent.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in software development.
• 5+ years of experience in software management roles.
• Experience in software design and coding in a modern programming languages.
• Experience designing and developing highly available services
• Experience developing distributed systems and understanding of scale, reliability and performance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle OCI cloud architecture, networking, OKE, storage.
• Demonstrated product leadership.
• Demonstrated experience in DevOps.
• Experience with Oracle OCI cloud.
• Experience designing and developing solutions with Kubernetes.
