Express Employment of Downey is currently seeking a TOOL & DIE MAKER for a aerospace fastener manufacturer in the city of Paramount, CA.
- PREVIOUS TOOL & DIE EXPERIENCE MUST REFLECT ON RESUME OR APP*
Schedule: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, 5AM to 3PM (10 HOUR SHIFTS) + SATURDAY 5AM to 1PM (8 HOUR SHIFT)
Pay: $25.00 an hour
Employment Type: temp to permanent hire, long-term
Job Responsibilities:
- Repair header tools and make complete header tool components
- Strong understanding of slip and press fit relationships
- Work with carbide, hardened tool steels, dies and cutting tools to close tolerance
- Use shop math as required
- Work with mills, lathes, surface grinders, hones and fixtures
- Clean and maintain work area
Skills
- 3+ years' experience as a tool maker for a manufacturing facility
- Strong machining skills
- Proficient understanding of shop math
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Strong ability to use measuring instruments (i.e. micrometers, calipers, comparators)
- Fluent English REQUIRED (but bilingual is a PLUS)
- Strong work ethic
- Punctual
