Quanex is looking for a Safety & Health Coordinator to join our team located in Owatonna, Minnesota.

In this role you are responsible for completing health and safety inspections of the facility, interacting with the workforce and assist with Health, Safety, and Sustainability work and projects at the facility.

What Success Looks Like:

• Participate in site planning, developing, and organizing strategic safety plans.
• Assist in coordinating local safety activities, such as safety champion training, development, program management, lockout tagout (LOTO) and machine guarding.
• Conduct health and safety training.
• Coordinate safety shoe program and the hearing conservation program.
• Conduct job safety and hazard analyses of manufacturing equipment.

What You Bring:

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• OSHA 10 or 30 training preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The hourly wage for this position is $30.00 per hour.
