About the Team

In line with the globalization strategy and vision of the company, the Global Payments team builds a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for all ByteDance's products and services, that are growing rapidly worldwide.

We are looking for a Payment Operations Manager to lead and optimize payment operations in the EMEA region (based in London), ensuring smooth, secure, and efficient payment processes tailored to the unique needs of the market. This role will involve managing relationships with business partners, market research and supporting the business in achieving growth objectives. Drive operational excellence and deliver exceptional service to merchants, creators, buyers and partners in the EMEA region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine payment operation roadmap and strategy, in collaboration with cross-functional teams such as business, BD, compliance, engineering, design, marketing, and data
  • Support launches of new payment options and keeps improving the onboarding rate
  • Identify the key issues of payment conversion improvement, and formulate relevant improvement strategies and drive product solution innovation, lead E2E Conversion rate, PSR, TCR optimization and business growth
  • Contribute requirements and insight to developing and executing user growth strategies, including developing marketing campaigns, creating content and other value-adds, identifying new trends, and collaborating with XFN teams
  • Define core metrics and setting goals on the number of users, revenue, engagement metrics, or other key performance indicators that align with business
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, trends, and performance benchmark
  • Foster strong relationships with business and partners to enhance collaboration
  • Assist the team to implement structured workflow, guidelines and improve team efficiency
  • Monitor and control all stages of the project life cycle and ensure that project targets are met within the project timeline
  • Monitor and resolve ad-hoc issues by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in operations or as a payment manager
  • Good understanding of financial, E-commerce, and payment industries
  • Strong research, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, analytical skills, communication skills, self-driven, and quick-learner
  • Experience with end-to-end product management processes, including idea generation, roadmap development, feature prioritization, and launch
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Accounting or Finance

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines
