A full time (12 month) College Laboratory Technician (CLT) position is available in the Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) department within the School of Arts and Sciences. The CLT is a tenure-track member of the MLS faculty, and reports to the Chair of the MLS department.
Responsibilities include technical preparation for a range of laboratory classes, including, but not limited to Clinical Biochemistry, Cell and Tissue Culture, Immunology, Hematology and Immunohematology. Overseeing laboratory safety, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and supervising student aides are also part of the role. The job involves multitasking, working with other CLTs, and the ability to take on a leading role in the absence of other CLTs. Committee participation is a responsibility of all Hunter College faculty.
This position will commence with the Fall 2025 semester beginning in August 2025.nSome evening hours are required once or twice weekly.
High School Diploma with a minimum of four years' related experience. Additional education may be used to meet the experience requirement: an Associate degree may be substituted for two years experience, and a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for four years experience.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, within approved range: $74,430 - $86,721.
