Job Summary:
The Senior Administrative Support Specialist provides comprehensive administrative and logistical support for the online degree-based credit programs within the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology (CEAT). This position is responsible for managing online assessments, maintaining and updating the proctor database, and ensuring a seamless testing experience for students.
Additional responsibilities include facilitating course logistics, providing Canvas support, troubleshooting issues, and serving as a primary point of contact for students and faculty. The role also involves supervising one to two student employees and ensuring the timely and accurate distribution of course materials, assignments, and exams.
This position works closely with the unit Manager and Programs Coordinator to support online students from enrollment through course completion, including maintaining student records and processing grades. The Senior Administrative Support Specialist is also responsible for maintaining departmental databases and overseeing data backup procedures to ensure accuracy and security.

Required Qualifications:
High School/GED
3 years of prior successful clerical/customer support work experience. Post-secondary education may substitute for years of required experience.
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Able to interact with faculty and students exhibiting a professional manner and an excellent service attitude. Must be able to function as a member of a team and work well under pressure. Organizational and problem-solving skills crucial. Must be able to organize and coordinate numerous projects simultaneously. Experience in Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. Proficiency in word processing, data entry and database management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Related experience in a service-oriented field, especially working with faculty and students in higher education. Experience with OSU software systems. Understanding of basic financial/bookkeeping principles.
