Summary:
- Responsible for operating electromechanical equipment in the assembly of electronic circuit boards.
- This includes setup, operation, and light maintenance of soldering machines while ensuring adherence to IPC-A-610 standards.
- Operate automated soldering equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Set up and verify jobs using computer-generated setup sheets
- Monitor assembly processes and ensure quality standards are met
- Perform basic machine programming for soldering applications
- Communicate technical errors, machine malfunctions, and improvements to leads and support teams
- Perform light equipment maintenance and workspace cleanup
- Ensure quality by adhering to IPC-A-610 standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating electromechanical or CNC-type equipment
- Ability to read and interpret cable diagrams, wiring drawings, and schematics
- Basic mechanical aptitude and soldering skills to J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards
- Experience with pick-and-place machines, wave soldering, and water wash equipment
- Familiarity with hand tools: cutters, strippers, crimpers, torque drivers, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in work quality
- Team-oriented, dependable, and proactive communicator
- Willingness to report quality issues and suggest improvements
- Comfortable working in a climate-controlled, team-based environment
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for fine-detail work
- Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
