Summary:

  • Responsible for operating electromechanical equipment in the assembly of electronic circuit boards.
  • This includes setup, operation, and light maintenance of soldering machines while ensuring adherence to IPC-A-610 standards.
  • Operate automated soldering equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Set up and verify jobs using computer-generated setup sheets
  • Monitor assembly processes and ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform basic machine programming for soldering applications
  • Communicate technical errors, machine malfunctions, and improvements to leads and support teams
  • Perform light equipment maintenance and workspace cleanup
  • Ensure quality by adhering to IPC-A-610 standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating electromechanical or CNC-type equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret cable diagrams, wiring drawings, and schematics
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and soldering skills to J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards
  • Experience with pick-and-place machines, wave soldering, and water wash equipment
  • Familiarity with hand tools: cutters, strippers, crimpers, torque drivers, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in work quality
  • Team-oriented, dependable, and proactive communicator
  • Willingness to report quality issues and suggest improvements
  • Comfortable working in a climate-controlled, team-based environment
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for fine-detail work
  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
