POSITION OVERIVEW
Fidelity National Financial (FNF) is seeking a Data Engineering Product Owner to join our Corporate IT team. As a Data Engineering Product Owner, you will lead the development and management of data engineering products, ensuring they meet business needs and drive strategic goals. You will function as a bridge between data engineering teams and business stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements and actionable product features.
LOCATION
- This role can sit 100% remote or at our HQ in Jacksonville, FL.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define the vision and roadmap for data engineering products.
- Align product goals with overall business objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify key challenges and opportunities.
- Foster collaboration between data engineers, analysts, and business users.
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements, and drive
- Prioritize product features based on business needs and technical feasibility.
- Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of data engineering products.
- Ensure products are scalable, secure, and compliant with data governance
- Keep stakeholders informed about product progress.
- Gather feedback and address concerns.
- Define metrics and KPIs to measure product success.
- Understand the modern cloud data stack and data engineering principles.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Ensure data quality and integrity within data products.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in data engineering, computer science, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in product management, preferably in data engineering or analytics.
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technical requirements.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, APIs, data warehousing, and data lakehouses.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and big data technologies such as Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Function Apps, API Management, and CosmosDB.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
