Job Description

What you’ll do at OhioMHAS:

  • Provides Clinical Direction
  • Act as Lead Worker to the Nursing staff
  • Develop, Coordinates, & Monitor In-Service Trainings
  • Coordinates continuing education requirements required by the Ohio Administrative Code as well as the standards and codes of the Board of Nursing
  • Coordinate orientation for nursing staff and students
  • Serves as administrator for the OhioHAS Learning Management System
  • Write and approves Continuing Education (CE) applications
  • Participate in Peer Review
  • Conduct Chart Reviews
  • Maintain monthly, quaterly, and annual statistical reports
  • Ensure adherence to The Joint Commission (TJC) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) standards
  • Serve on Committees
  • Acts as liaison for schools and colleges of Nursing
  • Attend and participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars.

This is an hourly position covered by the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of #14 on the Ohio Health Care SEIU/1199 Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm This position is located at Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare 1756 Sagamore Road Northfield, Ohio.

Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Additional Salary / Appointment Information:

Pay increase of 4.5% July 1, 2025 and a 3% increase July 1, 2026.

Longevity supplement after 5 years of service

Qualifications

Requires current license as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Revised Code; 12 mos. exp. in psychiatric nursing or delivery of nursing services to persons with developmental disabilities; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in counseling; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations.

  • Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience requirements, but not for the mandated licensure.
