Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform all functions of all Operator levels.
  • Coordinate tech services, forms specifications, changes and qualifications.
  • Ensure efficient shift hand-off and communication.
  • Serve as Operator representative for special quality and engineering projects.
  • Ensure efficient scheduling to meet production requirements.
  • Interface with multiple functional departments within the company.
  • Promote and support 5S standards; participate in further standards development and implementation.
  • Serve as a resource to Operators in area; model company values and support strategic initiatives.
  • This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site).
  • Engage others, promote and participate in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Word) and computer experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior critical thinking skills; able to investigate and analyze data to resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality systems as related to medical device manufacturing.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, knowledge of continuous improvement processes.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma, or GED with 8 to 10 years of manufacturing experience; Technical Certificate with 5 to 7 years of experience; or Associate’s Degree with 3 to 5 years of experience.

Work Environment

  • Work involves use of manufacturing equipment or close proximity to equipment. May be exposed to biohazards and/or chemicals.
  • Work environment can range from clean room and proper gowning requirements to a production area that is open, potentially noisy and with moving equipment.
  • Recurring physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, crouching, climbing, bilateral motion involving hands, wrists and upper body.
  • Concentrated visual attention to perform checks on products and components.
  • Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
