• POSITION OVERVIEW:
  • Manufacturing Business Partner is responsible for product manufacturability, set and achieve manufacturing cost goals and MVA targets according to business goals and market benchmark (competitor and best in class subcon cost structure and BOM).
  • MFG BP is a key partner with internal and external manufacturing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Target setting and regular review with external and internal factories related to analog & logic business unit

  • Sets annual manufacturing cost saving targets by working closely with operations, product groups, and external manufacturing teams.
  • Focus more on Backend to follow supply chain market closely
  • Rigorously drive cost down regularly depending on market supply/demand situation
  • Lead price negotiation with subcons, especially backend (assembly and test)

Product Sustaining & Manufacturability:

  • Lead the monitoring of transition of products from development to mass production.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to check ramping status and take action in a timely manner
  • Address and resolve manufacturing issues to maintain production continuity by setting up target and monitoring with central operations team, external manufacturing team, and product sustaining team.

Efficiency & Automation Improvements:

  • Drive initiatives to improve UPH (units per hour), yield, and cycle times.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.

Cost Management and manufacturing cost:

  • Plan and monitor manufacturing costs, including capex (capital expenditures) and opex (operational expenditures).
  • Implement strategies to reduce production costs while maintaining product quality.

Hard Skills:

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and cost-saving methodologies. Main focus is on the backend assembly and test manufacturing in low-cost countries
  • Deep knowledge in semiconductor manufacturing flows, cost and equipment
  • Understanding of logistics, material flows, and supply chain process

Soft Skills:

  • Strong negotiation skill. Prefer to have experience in pricing negotiation.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong decision-making skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Team-oriented, with excellent collaboration and information-sharing capabilities.
  • Adaptable to fluctuating workloads and able to work under pressure.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Operational Efficiency: Improve yield, UPH, and overall factory efficiency metrics.

Cost Control: Deliver on cost-saving targets and adhere to approved CapEx/OpEx budgets.

Production Consistency: Maintain smooth production flow and high-quality standards.

NPI Success: Ensure timely and successful ramp-ups for new product introductions.
