Overview
JOB SUMMARY:
Perform daily tasks associated with Receiving Duties & Functions, Inventory Control and Ops Clerks functions within the Warehouse Operations. This position may include but not limited to: Back-Up and Support functions in Whse Operations (Clerks) and Customer Service as needed.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Record of Receipts verified against BOL, processed
- Appointment schedules verified, printed and open POs identified, communicated
- Assist Operations Clerk as needed
- End of day email and reports sent to staff, including case count by concept report
- Daily Transfer(s) Shipping Control
- Checking the yard daily to monitor drop trailer temperatures and fuel levels
- Answering calls to take in new appointments from carriers/Vendors and scheduling them on the system

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
2 years of relevant work experience in a warehouse/transportation environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of (B/basic; J/journey; E/expert):
- Relevant department concepts, procedures, and regulations (B)
- Prior inventory control clerk experience
- Warehouse operational clerk experience
- Warehouse receiver clerk experience
- Customer service concepts and techniques (B)
- Basic office equipment and machinery (PCs, copiers, fax machines, adding machines, calculators, etc.) (B)
- Filing and record-keeping procedures and systems (B)
- General warehouse/transportation operations (B)
- DOT regulations, policies, and procedures (B)
- PC word processing/spreadsheet software (B)
Skill and ability to:
- Identify problems or irregularities for early resolution
- Proficient in Excel
- JDE/JDA System, Open Dock
- Effective Communication verbally and written
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (Certified)
- Work within warehouse environment
- Lift heavey cases (50lbs)
- Work in freezer, cooler and dry warehouse environment
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal and external customers verbally and in writing
- Read and process written information with a high degree of accuracy
- Prepare a variety of administrative documents and reports
- Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer service
