What You'll Be Doing:

We are seeking a skilled Security Platform Engineer with expertise in Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) to enhance our cybersecurity infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, maintaining, and optimizing EDR solutions to protect against cyber threats. This role requires a deep understanding of security tools, infrastructure (both cloud and on-premises), and it is beneficial to have an understanding of manufacturing assets as well.

You will be responsible for writing scripts to automate manual steps in the deployment process. You will participate in testing the deployment packages created by teams in a sandbox environment. You will be responsible for tracking the KPIs defined by the service lead to check on coverage and compliance for security products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the deployment, operation, and maintenance of the global EDR platform.
  • Provide technical support and response to security teams regarding EDR-related incidents.
  • Identify and implement configuration adjustments to improve security posture.
  • Research and integrate new security tools into the EDR platform.
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts, ensuring timely incident detection and response.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to develop best practices for endpoint security.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain documentation and provide training on EDR tools and security protocols.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance the technical skills and product knowledge of other security teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in security operations.

What You Should Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 + years of work experience
  • Flexibility to work Security Platform technologies and willingness to work to support the escalated cases from secops team .
  • Knowledge of EDR technologies such as Crowdstrike, Defender, and IoT EDR.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Google).
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCSP, or GIAC are advantageous but not required.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and support.
