Job Description: Senior Executive Officer, Sun Life Dubai
Job Summary:
The Senior Executive Officer, Sun Life Dubai is a senior leadership role responsible for driving transformative growth and reinforcing Sun Life’s position as a leader in the High Net Worth market in the Middle East and surrounding regions. Reporting to the President of Sun Life International HuBS, the SEO will spearhead the development and execution of innovative distribution strategies, cultivate and manage high-value strategic partnerships, and lead the company's marketing and sales initiatives from the Dubai office.
Position Responsibilities:
- Serving as the company's senior ambassador and General Manager in Dubai, the SEO will build strong professional relationships with brokers, private banks, government departments and industry leaders to elevate the company's profile and influence in the region.
- Oversee the achievement of ambitious business goals by designing and implementing comprehensive multi-year sales, revenue and marketing strategies for the Middle East region, with a focus on expanding the company's presence in Dubai and penetrating new markets.
- Leverage existing relationships and identify, negotiate, and establish new strategic alliances and partnerships within the Middle East to drive substantial revenue growth.
- Collaborate with the Data team to provide in-depth analysis of market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes specific to the Middle East region to inform strategic decision-making and identify transformative growth opportunities.
- Proactively identify and negotiate high-impact cases for both new sales and renewals, with a particular focus on innovative solutions tailored to the unique needs of the Middle Eastern market. Leverage the Partner Program Team to support cases through to fulfillment.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the Sun Life HNW product portfolio relative to competitor offerings to provide strategic insights on product features, benefits, pricing, and pioneering solutions to external partners, and provide market feedback to internal stakeholders.
- Proactively liaise with the International HuBS Underwriting, Compliance, Operations & Product Development teams to represent client needs and support an exceptional client experience.
- Spearhead the company's participation in high-profile industry events, conferences, and exhibitions, positioning the organization as a thought leader and transformative business partner.
- Attract, retain and develop a high-performance team in the Dubai office, fostering a culture aligned with Sun Life values and BOLDER behaviours.
- Design and implement training programs for brokers & partners focusing on advanced products, value add services and technology solutions, positioning Sun Life as a ‘Partner of Choice’.
- Complete duties of a general nature as may be required from time to time by Management.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 20 years experience in life insurance / financial services, with 10 years at senior executive level
- Extensive knowledge of international life insurance and HNW products, with a particular focus on innovative solutions for the Middle East market
- Deep understanding of regulatory environments and business practices in Dubai and the broader Middle East region
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence at the highest levels, both internally and externally, in a multicultural environment
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Hindi or Indian is highly desirable
- Willingness to travel extensively within the Middle East and globally as required
- Degree in Business, Law, Finance or a related discipline is required; Masters level advantageous.
