The Opportunity

We're looking for a smart and creative QA engineer who can enhance the existing automation framework and build a low-maintenance and elegant automated regression test library for Nutanix Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery products. We're looking for someone who is up to the demand of enhancing Dev and QA productivity by providing tools and libraries for automating our extensive suite of complex manual tests.

About the Team

The DR&Backup QA team is tasked with test planning, test scenario design, and test case development to assess and improve the overall quality of our products. The role encompasses influencing product design by leveraging the broad knowledge of the product portfolio and ensuring that a quality-first mindset is instituted within our development practices. Also, automation of complex tests that mimic customer environments and workloads to ensure performance and scalability.

Your Role

  • Lead and drive quality of features.
  • Conducting requirement and design review of new features.
  • Design high level test approaches and implement detailed test plans.
  • Debug and root cause complex product issues.
  • Continuous improvement in efficiency of test cases and test strategies.
  • Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
  • End to end automation of all planned test cases.
  • Own feature's overall health.

What You Will Bring

  • A BE or MS in Computer Science or related stream is required.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience in a QA leader role preferably in Storage / Backup and Disaster Recovery areas.
  • Experience in leading technical QA teams for features in distributed systems.
  • Experience in designing complex Test Plans and Automation Plans.
  • Good exposure to Automation development in Python.
  • Ability to debug complex issues and root cause failures.
  • Experience with Core Storage, Virtualisation, File Systems, Block/Object Storage, Disaster Recovery & Backup is desired.
  • Good understanding of Linux Systems and virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with development, product management and cross functional teams.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
