The CAAS Accounting Senior Manager acts as a trusted advisor to clients, overseeing financial reporting, team management, and mentorship. This role is responsible for leading a profitable area within the CAAS division, managing budgets, supporting business growth, and ensuring exceptional client service. Strong leadership and talent retention through coaching are also key priorities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Primary direct relationship with assigned clients – meets with each client quarterly at a minimum, monthly in most cases.
  • Private industry experience working in an industry serviced by REDW strongly preferred.
  • Budgeting and forecasting, cash flow, and other strategic planning with the client.
  • Primary client ally in relationships with client’s professional team (attorney, insurance, financial experts, banks, etc.)
  • Integrated resource and performance planning, solutions implementation, and management with other business areas (marketing and sales, HR, technology).
  • Individual client budgeting and resource management, ongoing mentoring, and supervision.
  • Management of new client implementations and ongoing support in addition to the Accounting Manager and CAAS team.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Specialized expertise that would qualify the Accounting Senior Manager as an “expert” in one or more industry verticals.
  • Strong technology skills using Microsoft Office 2007 or later; advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to learn new ERP systems.
  • Home office environment including separate work area, PC (minimum system requirements must be met) with Windows 10. Additional technology requirements will be communicated and must be met on an ongoing basis.
  • Experience working in a paperless environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Team player with a positive “can-do” approach.
  • A general and growing knowledge of firm products and services in the practice area, and a general knowledge of products and services in other practice areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting. MBA preferred.
  • CPA Preferred.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in private/public accounting working with clients.
  • 3 to 5 years managing staff.

The potential annualized pay range for this position is $103,596 - $155,394. We make compensation offers within the range based on a range of individual factors, including but not limited to location, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business needs, and applicable employment laws. These factors may also be taken into consideration to offer above or below the pay range.
