A South Bay manufacturer is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. In this Senior Accountant role, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for inventory control, PPV, variance analysis, physical counts, and cost accounting. What do you need for this Senior Accountant role?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• 5-10 years of accounting experience
• Must have experience in inventory and/or cost accounting
• Supervisory experience a plus
• Advanced Excel

What will you do in this Senior Accountant role?

• Own inventory and cost accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting
• Monitor and analyze inventory transactions, including purchases, transfers, and adjustments
• Perform cost analysis and variance reporting to support operational efficiency and cost control
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes related to inventory and cost accounting.
• Maintain and improve standard costing methodologies and ensure proper cost allocation
• Collaborate with supply chain, operations, and finance teams to optimize inventory management and cost structures
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Support external and internal audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development.
