About the team With the rapid growth of our TikTok business, we need to provide our users with an effective means of managing their privacy. We are looking for a senior Product Manager to join the Ads Privacy & Targeting team to support the goal of responsibly developing and executing on a vision for TikTok's ad privacy solutions. In addition, this person may be responsible for building or enhancing TikTok's ad targeting features to improve advertising data accuracy and increase advertiser adoption of certain targeting tools. We are looking for a senior Product Manager to join the Ads Privacy & Targeting team to support the goal of responsibly developing and executing on a vision for TikTok's ad targeting and privacy solutions. This person would be responsible for building or enhancing TikTok's ad targeting features to improve advertising data accuracy and increase advertiser adoption of certain targeting tools. Responsibilities - Work on demographic or advanced targeting features to enhance user data accuracy and improve our ML-based targeting products. Make informed business decisions to expand or sunset existing products, aligning with advertising goals. - Drive the design, development, and iteration of advertising privacy and user data-related products to help users gain better access to their information and control how their data is used in a privacy-safe manner. - Collaborate with technical and nontechnical cross-functional stakeholders in the US, EU, and CN/SG to define product strategy, build hypothesis-driven experiment frameworks, evaluate trade-offs and metrics, and lead the go-to-market strategy for owned product areas. - Use various methods, including surveys, market research, and sales inputs, to identify gaps in current targeting products and transparency within existing product capabilities. Implement improvements accordingly. - Set the long-term vision for your areas of ownership, build roadmaps and product development plans, and secure leadership alignment. Navigate technical details with immediate tech teams while effectively conveying broader strategic concepts to executives—proficient in addressing both the 10-feet and 10K-feet level details. - Collaborate with other ads product teams (infra, creative, ad platform, targeting, ranking, etc.) and/or the user privacy product team to develop relevant ad products.
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field. - Extensive understanding of ad tech, demonstrated by direct experience in building targeting or privacy-related products. - 5+ years of hands-on product management experience, successfully guiding one or more ad tech products through the entire product cycle, from conceptualization to launch (Note: This does not include total years of experience). - Strong logical and critical thinking skills, utilizing a facts and data-driven approach to problem-solving. - Highly analytical, with a laser focus on user needs. Proven ability to define a product roadmap in the face of ambiguity and uncertainty. Data and action-oriented, even when limited data is available. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a scrappy and proactive approach. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in audience integration with CDP/DMP, API, and strong knowledge in 3P data licensing. - MBA degree
