Inside Sales Representative

Full Time – Evaluation Hire

$24-28/hr

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am - 5 pm

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring an Inside Sales Representative for a local specialty truck equipment company in East Baton Rouge Parish.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Inside Sales Representative:

• Provide support to the outside sales team by supplying quotes and information related to body and equipment requirements, chassis availability, order updates, and other related inquiries as needed.
• Handle phone calls and emails concerning body/equipment requests and chassis pool availability.
• Ensure prompt and professional responses to customer inquiries.
• Prepare detailed quotes for body and equipment installations.
• Assist walk-in and call-in customers by recommending appropriate solutions and providing quotes tailored to their body and equipment needs.
• Create and process accurate work orders for the shop in a timely and efficient manner.
• Coordinate with the parts department to ensure all necessary parts are available for upcoming jobs.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Production Manager and shop staff regarding customer needs and key job details.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma.
• At least 3 years’ experience in inside sales.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
• High level of responsiveness to inquiries and requests.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a positive attitude.
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and carry out tasks to completion.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Normal standing, walking, and bending as necessary in the office, shop, and on the equipment yard during all seasons.
