ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for complying with food safety, food security, Quality, GMP’s, HAACP, Allergen, and Sensitizer as well as other regulations as required.

• Have an understanding of SQF, responsible for Food Safety /Food Quality and to notify a person with the authority to take action for any Food Safety or Food Quality issue.

Responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of the product.

• Responsible for duplicating and communicating all safety and good manufacturing practices in accordance with company policy, including proper SOP’s as well as all other company policies.
• Will be certified in the operations of all machinery in his or her area of responsibility, and fill in as a relief as needed.
• Set-up the line - Fillers, Labelers, Packers, Palletizers, Douglas Bundler, DePalletizer and Tray Former according to necessary requirements.
• Also, assist with all line personnel with set-up, changeovers, CIP’s, PM’s, quality tests, making minor repairs etc. and clean-up as necessary.
• Observes machine operation for defects or malfunctions and make adjustments as necessary.
• Adhere to company policies and safety requirements as defined.
• Represents the company in a positive manner at all times.
• Must be a team player at all times.
• Must comply with all company policies, GMP’s, PPE and Safety.
• Must be task oriented, be able to multi task, and have good organizational skills.
• Responsible to learn all functions of the team captain position and be able to be a back up to the team captain.

Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal skills, team player and an attitude to excel are a must.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

The associate must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

SAP & CC+I experience is a plus.
