We’re looking for our next Team Lead, Software Engineering. Could It Be You?
The ideal candidate for this position is experienced in leading the development of high-performing and scalable web applications, APIs and microservices.
They will lead a team of software engineers and QAs, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product owners, and digital marketers. They will be involved in projects of varying sizes throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to implementation, launch and support.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement and innovation, including the adoption of GenAI tools within the development process.

- Plan, design, and coordinate software development activities across small to large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with business requirements and mitigating technical risks throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (designers, product owners, digital marketers) and external vendors to define project requirements, validate outputs, and ensure seamless integration.
- Actively participate in designing and documenting new application features, emphasizing scalability, maintainability, and security.
- Provide technical support and expertise for a multi-tier environment, evaluating and recommending necessary infrastructure or software upgrades.
- Lead code reviews to ensure code quality, scalability, and consistency in design and interactive behaviors.
- Play a key role in defining and implementing development best practices, standards, and procedures, including quality and delivery methodologies within an Agile Scrum framework.
- Ensure compliance with documented software processes and procedures throughout the software product lifecycle.
- Support the team in making informed technical decisions and developing accurate estimates.
- Proactively identify and address team roadblocks to ensure timely delivery of committed deliverables.
- Mentor a team of software engineers and QAs, encouraging their professional growth through regular one-on-one sessions, performance reviews, and guidance on career paths.
- Conduct research, identify industry trends and develop proof of concepts for new features and processes, sharing knowledge and lessons learned with the team.
- Develop and debug code as needed, assisting the team in creation of new features for their back-end services and front-end web applications.
- Lead the support efforts for applications in production, resolving issues efficiently to meet service level agreements.
- Drive the adoption and champion the use of GenAI tools within the development lifecycle to automate repetitive tasks, facilitate rapid prototyping, testing, and deployment.
- Maintain an attitude of continuous improvement and adaptability to new business requirements and the evolving technological landscape.

- Degree, diploma, or equivalent directly related work experience in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in web-based technologies.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring software engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent written, oral, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent time-management and organizational abilities
- Ability to analyze information and make appropriate recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business requirements and environments.
Main Technical Skills:
- Back-end: .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC
- CMS: e.g.,Sitefinity, WordPress
- Front-end: HTML, Sass, JavaScript, TypeScript, AngularDatabase: RDMS like MS SQL Server and MySQL, Familiarity with BigQuery, experience with other DBs like Redis Cache and NoSQL databases.Microservices & Micro Front-ends: Proficient knowledge and hands-on experience.Cloud Platforms: Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)Streaming: Google Pub/Sub, KafkaInfrastructure: Familiarity with other Google Cloud Platform components.Tools: Gitlab, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, preferably with experience in automated CI/CD pipelines.Other: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Target.Experience building and maintaining .NET framework web applications and services.Strong skills in performance application tuning.
