You will be a part of HPB’s Preventive Health Programmes & Rewards Division, Substance Abuse Department, which plans and implements the National Tobacco Control Programme through a multi-prong approach comprising public education, collaboration with partners, and the development of policies to encourage citizens to adopt a nicotine-free lifestyle. The ultimate goal is to help HPB achieve its vision of making Singapore a nation of healthy people and to establish itself as a local and international authority on health promotion.
As a key member of Substance Abuse team, you will be actively involved in conceptualising, planning, coordinating, and evaluating public education and implementation of substance abuse prevention and cessation initiatives to reduce the prevalence of smoking and vaping in Singapore. Additionally, you will participate in planning and research to prevent the initiation of smoking and/or vaping among the general population and targeted segments such as youth. Your role will involve educating, motivating, and assisting smokers and/or vapers to quit smoking and/or vaping. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with government and non-government organisations as well as the private sector to develop information and plans in support of anti-vaping efforts.
Together with the Substance Abuse Team, you will conceptualize and implement substance abuse prevention and cessation initiatives, focusing on smoking and vaping, to be delivered at a national scale. You will be involved in the following key areas:

(2) Project management of contracts with service providers providing a suite of offerings for smoking/vaping control initiatives, such as talks, workshops and activations, across different settings, including community, workplaces and schools. This includes:
(3) Secretariat to a cross-matrix (inter-divisional) workgroup on Substance Abuse, focusing on smoking and vaping initiatives. This includes:
(4) Any other ad-hoc or new tasking as directed by Head of Department
