Assistant/Deputy Manager, Solution Architect (Applications & Product) /IT & Services

[What will you be doing]

  • Develop and document comprehensive solution architectures that align with business requirements, industry best practices, and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Design and evaluate technology options, including cloud-based solutions, microservices architectures, API strategies, and data architectures, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness, including collaborating with other key stakeholders.
  • Create architectural artifacts, including conceptual, logical, and physical architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and interface specifications.
  • Design for interoperability and integration with existing systems and services.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) and feasibility studies to validate architectural designs.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of enterprise architecture standards and guidelines.
  • Drive collaboration with business analysts, project managers, developers, and infrastructure engineers to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Conduct workshops and presentations to gather requirements, present architectural designs, and address technical queries.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
  • Participate in project reviews and provide architectural oversight.
  • Liaise with other teams and other key stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards and facilitate collaboration.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and education industry trends.
  • Lead in new technologies and tools evaluation for potential adoption, conducting research and analysis to assess their suitability.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement through the application of new technologies.
  • Contribute to the development of technology roadmaps and strategic plans.
  • Ensure that all solutions are designed and implemented in accordance with prevailing WOG and TP ICT policies and guidelines.
  • Provide architectural support throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation to deployment and maintenance.
  • Assist in the development of project plans and estimates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimisation of solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of operational documentation and support procedures.

[What we are looking for]

  • Qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of proven working experience as a Solution Architect, preferably in a government or large enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Deep knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience with microservices architectures, API design, and integration patterns.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing secure and scalable solutions.
  • Proficient in cybersecurity best practices and standards.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, DevSecOps methodologies, designing and implementing data architectures, data analytics and AI/ML technologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF Certification) and implemented containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) will be an advantage
