Barracuda provides powerful yet easy-to-use security and data protection solutions that simplify it. We are looking for an Managed Services Engineer who will assist with monitoring and maintenance of infrastructure in Barracuda production environments. This role applies professional-level technical skill and judgment to provide non-routine technical support for infrastructure operations. Installs, configures and troubleshoots server and non-desktop computer hardware, software, systems, and other resources in a data center and public clouds. Also helps to maintain access control, data integrity, and file system security for the production environment with monitoring and maintenance of Barracuda infrastructure.

What you’ll be working on

• Monitor for server hardware, application, and network failure
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and respond to, and resolve service alerts
• Incident management, share feedback to improve uptime
• Hardware maintenance with remote hands support
• Rack and wire new servers (via remote hands) and update the inventory record
• Switch installs, applying VLANs and basic network configuration to deploy new equipment
• Upgrades, Replacement of RAM, HDD, Raid cards, BBU
• Linux OS installs, Configuration and maintains Linux operating systems
• Ensure remote access and Resolve access request tickets as per procedure

What you bring to the role

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience in computer hardware including component troubleshooting and replacement experience
• Experience working in a Data Centre environment
• Basic understanding of AWS and Azure cloud platforms
• Exposure to virtualization tools like KVM, Proxmox
• Basics of Shell scripting, Git, and MySQL is a plus
• Understanding of TCP/IP networks (subnets, routing, DNS, Firewall, WAF)
• Understanding of Monitoring tools like PagerDuty, Sensu, and New Relic
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting complex issues
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Enthusiasm and willingness to communicate via video-conferencing and Slack with a globally distributed team.
