Job Description:
The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) is filling multiple temporary, full-time Liquor Distribution Worker 1 positions. We have openings for both day shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) and swing shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM), Monday through Friday and weekends as needed.

Salary: Temporary positions are paid on an hourly basis and start at the seventh step in the Liquor Distribution Worker 1 position ($4,288.00 Month / $24.74/ Hour).
Location: OLCC Headquarters, 9079 SE McLoughlin Blvd., Portland OR 97222 (parking is free).
Length: The expected duration for the temporary position is 6 months or 1040 hours.

The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) oversees access to alcohol and cannabis products in Oregon through education, regulation, and distilled spirits distribution. About this opportunity:

Here’s what you will do:
You will work with a dynamic group of employees in a fast-paced environment to quickly move distilled spirits through the Distribution Center for shipment to the more than 282 liquor stores throughout the State of Oregon. You will manually pick up full cases of liquor from pallets, racking, or staging areas and load the products onto a conveyor system. You may operate a shrink-wrap machine to wrap and seal repack (split-case orders) cases for stability and security. You may also use an electric cart and radio frequency (RF) scanner to replenish stock to conveyor locations. You will be required to limit the number of mistakes over a monthly period to demonstrate accuracy and safety.

Here’s what you need to qualify:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 lbs. of cases of product during an 8-hour shift
AND
- Must be at least 18 years of age
AND
- Have a basic knowledge of spoken and written English, sufficient enough to understand verbal and written instructions and to respond to requests in person
Requested Skills:
- General warehouse or related experience which may include: picking orders for shipments, working on conveyor systems, restocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean warehouse area.
- Experience using a radio frequency scanner.
- Ability to adhere to assigned work schedule and maintain good attendance.
- Ability to collaborate, share information, and identify and resolve problems in a constructive manner.
- Ability to embrace and foster diversity and multiculturalism in the workplace.
