Statement of Duties and Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator I will provide logistical and fiscal operational support to the Center for School & District Support (CSDP), Center for Strategic Initiatives (CSI), and Office for Strategic School Transformation (SST). The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s (DESE) Center for School & District Support (CSDP), Center for Strategic Initiatives (CSI) and Office for Strategic School Transformation (SST) provide comprehensive assistance to districts and schools and structured opportunities for educators, administrators and district leaders to engage in activities including coaching, action research, facilitated professional learning, professional learning, and progress monitoring.
Program Coordinator I will report to and be responsible for supporting the Fiscal Officer V. The Fiscal Officer V manages the fiscal resources of CSDP, CSI, and SST by ensuring effective accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, auditing and financial analysis, and procurement functions comply with applicable state laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. Program Coordinator 1 will assist in the processing of all vendor contracts, work orders, requisitions, open orders, invoices, and vendor bids to master agreements (RFRs) in compliance with all state applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is based at the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Everett. Staff are currently operating within a hybrid model, that combines two in-office workdays and telecommuting up to three days per week.

MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and/or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.
Substitutions:
I. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.*
II. A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.*
