Job Summary
The senior student accounts representative is responsible for performing specialized bookkeeping and administrative duties to facilitate the work of Lindenwood University’s Bursar Office. This position also maintains records and reconciles transactions, specifically focusing on student accounts receivable.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Processes billing statements for currently enrolled students with a balance due
- Reconciles general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy in financial records for audit
- Troubleshoots technical issues related to student billing process
- Processes student aid refunds according to federal guidelines
- Assists with the University’s daily deposit
- Reviews transactions to ensure compliance with University policies, procedures, and administrative requirements
- Receives and processes University monies, including cash, checks, credit card, and electronic funds transactions; codes and posts transactions accurately and in a timely manner
- Audits all transactions
Service Excellence
- Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
- Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values
- Provides customer support by answering questions and addressing concerns or problems related to particular accounting functions or regulations
Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration
- Reconciles transactions by notifying departments of any known discrepancies and providing balanced records
- Provides specialized documents and processes, including reissuing lost checks and canceling compromised cards and checks, to ensure the safety and security of University finances

Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 2 years’ related professional experience
