EMSL is seeking a Sample Receiving Data Entry Clerk I in Cinnaminson, NJ. This is an administrative support position for the laboratory manager and the analysts. It will oversee the shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging in of samples.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Log in samples from all lab divisions
Open packages; handle, count, split environmental samples to ensure sample integrity is retained and that the packaging is not compromised
Accept samples from walk-in customers and assist with customer or client questions via walk-in, phone, and e-mail as needed|
Make sure all samples are placed in proper laboratory area to await analysis
Review paperwork and accurately interpret customer chain of custody for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctness
Create and send invoices to clients
Email, scan, fax and copy electronical report results to clients when requested
File hardcopy documents
Clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, faxing, assisting clients, scanning, and mailing as necessary
Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
1 to 3 years’ experience with high volume data entry is desired
Previous experience with chain of custody documents is a plus
Strong computer skills: proficient in MS Office and ability to type 50 words per minute
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently are a plus
Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit and stand for various lengths of time
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance
Available Shift:
Position is full-time Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 1 to 2 Saturdays per month
