Underwriting Assistant Property & Marine

Our Middle Office team in Stockholm is the operational center of our Nordic business, supporting our underwriting teams and external stakeholders such as brokers and clients, and continuously improving operational processes.

We are currently seeking an Underwriting Assistant for mainly Property to join the Middle Office team, with responsibility for supporting the effective underwriting of our business lines.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

You will ensure that the administrative pre- and post-bind processes are run efficiently and bring high-quality service to internal and external clients and colleagues, through for example:

• Accurate, efficient processing of (complex) Multinational Solutions and non-multinational accounts, always in compliance with our policies and guidelines.
• Implementation of new/renewed accounts (and mid-term validations where applicable), including controlling and monitoring issue of documents, system entering, premium collection, Reinsurance ceding
• Efficient and professional interaction with various internal stakeholders, such as Underwriting, Claims, Accounting, our network and offshore support teams, as well as external stakeholders, such as clients and brokers

You will report to the Nordic Middle Office Team Leader Property & Marine.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

• IT literacy, Microsoft Office package literacy as a minimum
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English and preferably Swedish, Norwegian or Danish
• Some experience in an underwriting support position or other insurance
• Preferably knowledge of at least one of our core business lines (Property & Marine)
• Well-developed social skills, ability to communicate and network with people on all levels
• Proactive approach
• Attention to detail and system entering
