Compliance Operations Platform Product Manager - Global Payment

Team Introduction

In line with the globalization strategy and vision of the company, the Global Payments team builds a platform to provide cross-border payment solutions for all ByteDance's products and services, that are growing rapidly worldwide.

Responsibilities

1. As the product owner of Global Payment Compliance Operations Platform, build and enhance the manual case review tool, including but not limited to the following core features: case distributions, queue management, access control, information queries, risk decisions, status flows, multi-language translations, customer outreach, multi-tenancy structure, efficiency tracking, and dashboards etc.;

2. Design operations tooling solutions that are compatible to Operations team's standard working procedures (SOP). Work with Operations team to guarantee SOP adequacy and accuracy, reduce average handling time (AHT), improve operational efficiency, and save operational costs;

3. Conduct meetings with business teams to discuss platform designs based on different business scenarios, customer experiences, and compliance regulations. Work closely with R&D team to launch new features, and with Operations team to ensure effective executions of SOP.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Internet product management, technology, and/or data-related fields, among which at least 5 years in payment/finance risk, anti-fraud, and/or anti-money laundering (AML) domains. Extensive experience in designing and/or developing manual review platforms or case management tools and profound knowledge in anti-fraud, AML manual review processes;
  • Deep understanding in various risk management flows and compliance regulatory requirements in the processes of customer onboarding, risk evaluations, KYC document and biometric verifications, sanction screenings, and suspicious transaction monitoring etc. Familiar with operational efficiency enhancements and BPO management;

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent understanding in AML and sanctions requirements in global e-commerce, credit loans, and live streaming businesses. Prior working experience in international payment/financial institutions and/or service platform companies is a plus;
  • With industry insights, independently conduct complicated product research and analyses, determine annual product roadmaps, and drive implementations with high quality and high efficiency.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, able to take initiatives and execution, willing to take great challenges, eager to communicate with cross-functional partners, strong dedication and ownership.
