About the team:
As part of the Data & Technology Transformation team for the Enterprise Risk Management function, you will be part of a team responsible to establish, maintain, and communicate the Enterprise Risk Data and Tech transformation strategy for your workstream; create and deliver technology implementation roadmaps, ensuring that both business and regulatory requirements are met; and drive implementation and adoption of consistent data management standards and capabilities to support the Enterprise Risk Management Framework adoption across the enterprise and relevant businesses /functions / regions.
This role sits within the reporting transformation team of the Data – ERM Data & Technology Transformation organization, focused on the buildout of the foundational reporting data and technology architecture in line with Citi's Data transformation journey. The focus will be to design and implement target state infrastructure and data flows to support our Enterprise risk functions including board and senior management reporting. This will include understanding the current and developing critical data element requirements for ERM Regulatory reporting, and ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data as its travels from source (i.e. system or record) to output usage (i.e., endpoint consumption). In addition, the individual will assist in strengthening data governance across the ERM systems, aligning to new and related data management policies, guidelines and procedures.
About the role:
The Business Senior Lead Analyst role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate definition and execution of Risk requirements according to the Citi Data Governance Policy (CDGP) and Standard (CDGS). The role reports into the Enterprise Risk Management Reporting Transformation Lead.
The Business Data Analyst position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to drive one or more Use Cases aligned to BCBS 239 reports specific to Enterprise Risk Management and ensuring compliance with Citi's Data Governance policies, standards, procedures and guidelines and related documents. This includes identifying gaps in data quality controls to reduce risk, partner and collaborate with ERM’s data consumers on data quality remediation challenges; document data flows, processes, and procedures; ensuring data requirements are implemented, and that focus remains on the scope and commitments of each phase of the Risk Consent Order Data Quality Plans to ensure proof of Risk Reduction. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of risk processes, systems and reporting, the Citi Data Operating Model, and a solid conceptual/practical grounding in Enterprise Risk Management.
This role requires excellent data analysis skills, in addition to strong presentation / communication skills in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.
Accountable for significant direct business results with respect to meeting regulatory commitments and data governance compliance (inclusive of updating and tracking progress within various data and project management tools. Responsible management for leading a team and ensuring work product output and artifacts meets Citi's standards.
