Duties/Responsibilities
Nursery/Greenhouse: work including but is not limited to potting, pruning, weeding, grafting, seeding, data entry, maintaining research plots, watering, fertilizer and pesticide applications running and maintaining nursery equipment.

Laboratory work: including but is not limited to washing dishes, preparing research samples, processing samples, data entry, running and maintaining lab equipment.

Teaching and Extension: help with activities associated with preparation of teaching a weed science lab and assist with editing extension publications.

Minimum Qualifications
Position Summary
This position will assist faculty and staff with greenhouse, research and field plots as well as help with extension and teaching activities . This position will work both indoors and outdoors with minimum supervision. There will also be some work in a greenhouse environment. Duties may also include intermittent out-of-town travel to research plots. Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics software is a plus.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
High School diploma/GED; Training will be provided on all processes and equipment when necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and general mechanical aptitude.

Lift 50 pounds and work in inclement weather, as needed (i.e., rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.)
